FATHER REGIS SCANLON, O.F.M.CAP., FOUNDER AND PRESIDENT
Fr. Regis Scanlon, O.F.M.Cap., was ordained in Aug. 26, 1972. For 25 years Fr. Scanlon was spiritual director and chaplain for Mother Teresa of Calcutta’s Missionaries of Charity in Denver, Colorado. He was director of the Catholic Prison Ministry/ Archdiocese of Denver, 1999 to 2010.
Fr. Scanlon has also published numerous articles on issues facing Christianity in the 21st century. They have appeared in Homiletic & Pastoral Review, Crisis magazine and New Oxford Review, among other publications.
In 2013, Fr. Regis founded the Julia Greeley Home, Inc., and established it the following year as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization designed to help homeless women recognize their innate dignity as human beings created by God, and to learn the skills necessary to recover their confidence and self sufficiency.
FATHER CHRISTOPHER POPRAVAK, O.F.M.CAP., BOARD MEMBER
Fr. Christopher Popravak, O.F.M. Cap., is the present Provincial Minister of the Capuchin Province of St. Conrad (Mid-America). He received a doctoral degree in Historical Theology from St. Louis University and has taught in the United States, England and Italy. He served on the international Constitution Commission of the Capuchin Order, and has worked in postulant, novitiate, and post-novitiate formation programs. Besides his work now in provincial administration, Fr. Christopher helps at various parishes and prisons in the Denver metropolitan area.
FATHER JOSEPH ELDER, O.F.M.CAP., BOARD MEMBER
Fr. Joseph Elder, O.F.M.Cap., has been a member of the Capuchin Franciscan Order for the past thirteen years. He received his seminary training at St. John Vianney Theological Seminary in Denver, Colorado. He currently serves as the director of post-novitiate formation, vocation director, and in prison ministry. In addition, he serves the Hispanic community as director of youth and young adult ministry at Annunciation Catholic Parish in Denver.
ROSEANN CRONAN, BOARD CHAIR
Roseann has 20 years of experience in private, public and not-for-profit organizations, specializing in focused market research, strategic planning, product development and comprehensive communication strategies.
She is involved in many community activities, among them: Machebeuf High School Strategic Plan & Capital Campaign; Alumni Association; Christ the King Catholic Church (Capital Campaign/Ambassador); Denver Veteran Administration Hospital: (Eucharistic Ministry); Lowry Village Home Owner Association/Board Member
LUANNE CHIHOSKI, BOARD MEMBER
Luanne Chihoski has been involved in local Catholic ministries in Denver for almost 40 years. She has co-founded several lay Catholic social and educational organizations for college and young adults, and remains active in several women’s ministries. She currently holds leadership positions in ministries at St. Joan of Arc Parish and Sts. Peter and Paul school. She holds a degree in Business from Colorado State University, and for many years helped grow a family business.
JON SCHROTH, BOARD MEMBER
Jon Schroth served for 16 years as Director of Information Technologies at the College of Business, Colorado State University. During his tenure, Jon was part of the leadership team that managed the technical operations for growing the Online MBA Program from 75 students to 1300 students. Jon left CSU in 2015 to join Atelior, a business consulting firm that helps entrepreneurs and high growth companies to scale by maturing their processes and assisting with organizational design. Jon holds a BA in Marketing from Kansas State University and a Master of Science in Computer Information Systems from Colorado State University.
